About the Learnership
In partnership with the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), Raymond Mhlaba Municipality is offering 10 exciting Law Enforcement Learnerships for unemployed youth. This initiative empowers individuals between 18–35 years by combining theoretical learning with practical training, aiming to create career pathways in law enforcement while bolstering community safety.
Programme Highlights:
- Comprehensive training in municipal law enforcement.
- Structured mentorship and practical field experience.
- Monthly stipend for the duration of the 12-month programme.
Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates will:
- Patrol public areas to ensure compliance with by-laws.
- Support traffic control and public safety initiatives.
- Assist in community policing and crime prevention campaigns.
- Participate in administrative duties and attend training sessions.
- Report unlawful activities and uphold professional standards.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet these criteria:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric certificate required).
- Age: 18–35 years.
- Residency: Must reside within Raymond Mhlaba Municipality’s jurisdiction.
- Documents:
- Updated CV.
- Certified copies of Matric Certificate and ID.
- Confirmation letter from local Ward Councillor.
- Employment Status: Unemployed and not engaged in other learnerships or internships.
- Commitment: Ability to commit to the full 12-month programme.
