What You’ll Be Doing

Forklift Operations:

• Operate forklifts safely to move pallets around the warehouse.
• Load and unload goods from trucks and shipping containers.
• Handle pallets carefully to preserve product quality, especially with sensitive cargo like fruit.
• Report damaged goods, inventory shortages, or quality issues to the supervisory team.
• Use scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and record pallet movements.

Compliance & Quality Control:

• Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols; wear required PPE at all times.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any issues to maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across all areas of responsibility.
• Ensure cold storage areas are properly sealed to maintain required temperatures.

Teamwork & Support:

• Work closely with other warehouse team members, quality inspectors, and delivery drivers.
• Support general warehouse tasks as needed to help operations run smoothly.

What You Bring

Education:

• A Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent) is required.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts, clamp trucks, or high-reach equipment.

Experience:

• 1–5 years of forklift operation experience, ideally in a paper or fruit export warehouse.
• Familiarity with handling perishable goods is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Accuracy in following instructions and reading despatch/receiving documents.
• Confident using WMS and scanning technology.
• Excellent coordination and time management.
• Ability to stay alert and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
