Salary Range: R397,116 – R467,179 per annum (Salary Level 8) – includes benefits
Minimum Requirements:
- A Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12);
- A nationally recognized National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration, Business Management, Office Management, or an equivalent qualification;
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in a Public Administration environment;
- A valid driver’s license.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Solid understanding of Public Administration frameworks;
- Familiarity with key legislation, policies, and administrative procedures;
- Basic financial administration knowledge is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support & Coordination:
- Draft correspondence, submissions, and internal memorandums;
- Collect and compile monthly reports from departments;
- Prepare supporting documents for internal and external meetings;
- Facilitate coordination of inputs for institutional reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and cash flow summaries;
- Support the development and maintenance of effective records and document management systems in the Principal’s office.
Governance and Secretariat Duties:
- Provide secretarial assistance to the College Council, its subcommittees, Academic Board, Senior Management, and stakeholders;
- Organize logistics for meetings and travel arrangements;
- Process travel and meeting claims;
- Schedule meetings and coordinate related proceedings;
- Draft agendas, minutes, and maintain records for governance structures;
- Distribute meeting documents and maintain a resolutions register;
- Follow up with relevant officials to ensure timely execution of resolutions;
- Secure storage of approved, signed minutes.
Strategic and Operational Planning:
- Assist in preparing speeches, presentations, and reports for the Principal and Council structures;
- Contribute to strategic management, monitoring, and evaluation activities;
- Support institutional strategic and operational planning efforts;
- Aid in the development and rollout of service delivery improvement initiatives;
- Participate in performance reporting and institutional effectiveness assessments.
