We are currently seeking a qualified Code B (8) Driver with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
As a member of our operations and logistics support team, you will be entrusted with a range of important duties that ensure our daily processes run smoothly and efficiently. These include:
- Collection and Delivery:
Deliver and collect a variety of important documents and items, including levy statements, financial reports, and employee payslips, in a timely and professional manner. - Utility Meter Readings:
Carry out manual and scanned readings of electricity and water meters at various residential complexes, following the assigned schedule and procedures to ensure accuracy. - Vehicle Maintenance:
Ensure that the assigned company vehicle is kept in excellent condition at all times—this includes maintaining cleanliness, roadworthiness, and fuel levels. You’ll also be responsible for routine checks and early reporting of any mechanical issues. - Trip Logging:
Maintain accurate records of all trips, deliveries, collections, and any incidents. This includes completing logbooks and submitting regular reports. - Safe Parcel Handling:
Load and unload items with care, ensuring the safe transport of documents and goods. Record and track each delivery/collection to maintain accountability. - Team Support:
Collaborate with the logistics and administration teams to support day-to-day tasks. Assist with general duties as required to contribute to a cohesive and effective team environment.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- A valid Code B (Code 8) driver’s licence
- A valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
- Proven driving experience, with a strong track record of safe and responsible driving
- Clean driving record, free of major traffic violations or penalties
