Position Available: General Worker (In-House Loader) – Johannesburg

We are excited to announce a vacancy for a General Worker (In-House Loader) at our Johannesburg branch. This role plays an important part in ensuring that cargo is handled with care, accuracy, and efficiency, contributing to the smooth operations of our logistics chain.

As a General Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with cargo movement, maintaining workplace standards, and ensuring that deliveries and collections are managed efficiently. You will be joining a dedicated team that takes pride in upholding Triton Express’s reputation for excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Cargo Handling – Loading and offloading freight from linehaul vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Assisting Local Deliveries – Supporting the loading and offloading of cargo from local delivery vehicles when required.
• Housekeeping Duties – Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, including warehouses and vehicle loading areas, to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Team Support – Collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and customer requirements are fulfilled.

This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

• Education: A Grade 12 qualification (Matric) is essential.
• Work Ethic: Must be hardworking, reliable, and able to work unsupervised.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Work Schedule: Must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 08h00 to 18h00. Flexibility to work overtime when required is a must, as client demands often extend beyond standard hours.
• Personal Attributes: High levels of integrity, presentable appearance, and a professional attitude at all times.
• Transport: Own reliable transport to and from work is essential.
• Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
