Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Valid Code 14 driver’s license (held for at least 2 years).
• Current Professional Driving Permit (PDP) with no less than 3 months’ validity.
• At least 2 years of proven driving experience operating an 8-ton truck or larger.
• Age requirement: between 25 and 65 years old.
• Must present a valid South African ID and driver’s license (original or valid temporary documents).
• Provide traceable references with contact details.
• Please note: applications from Code 10 drivers will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will take on the following duties:

• Safely operating heavy-duty vehicles across designated routes in South Africa.
• Adhering to traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Promptly reporting any incidents, breakdowns, or mechanical issues to the fleet team.
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, trip logs, and supporting documentation.
• Delivering goods professionally while offering excellent customer service.

Skills and Attributes

Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following:

• In-depth knowledge of road safety and transport legislation.
• Ability to manage long-distance driving and extended working hours.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and responsibility in all tasks.
• The capability to work independently under pressure.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding schedules.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with records and delivery documentation.

Remuneration

• Code 14 Driver: R15,000 per month
• Driver’s Assistant: R8,500 per month

Salary packages are market-related and will be discussed further during the recruitment process.
