Introduction

Motus Isuzu Isando, part of the respected Motus Group, is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our administrative team. The receptionist is often the very first person that customers and visitors interact with, and therefore plays a key role in setting the tone for the client experience. You will be the voice of the dealership over the phone and the face of the business at the reception desk. Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of this position is to provide first-line communication at Motus Isuzu Isando. As the Receptionist, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls, greeting customers, and ensuring that all visitors receive a pleasant and courteous welcome. You will also provide administrative support where necessary and ensure that the reception area always reflects the high standards of the Motus brand.

This role is more than just answering phones—it is about creating a welcoming environment, ensuring accurate message delivery, and making sure that every client and visitor feels valued from the moment they arrive.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction
    • Greet all visitors in a warm, professional, and friendly manner.
    • Direct customers and guests to the correct department or employee.
    • Ensure that customers are comfortable while waiting, offering assistance where needed.
  • Call Management
    • Promptly answer incoming calls in a polite and professional manner.
    • Accurately record and convey messages to staff members.
    • Monitor, control, and record outgoing trunk calls as well as incoming reverse-charge calls.
    • Limit “hang-on” calls by offering call-backs and following up accordingly.
    • Make use of the paging system to reach employees when calls are unanswered.
  • Administration Support
    • Update, maintain, and distribute telephone lists to staff.
    • Communicate effectively with all staff members regarding incoming visitors or calls.
    • Ensure that the reception area remains neat, clean, and welcoming at all times.
    • Assist with other administrative tasks as requested by the Finance Manager or department.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Essential Requirements:
    • Minimum of Grade 12 / Matric.
    • At least 3 years of proven experience as a receptionist in a corporate or customer-facing environment.
    • A clear criminal record.
  • Added Advantages:
    • A formal Receptionist or Frontline Communication Certificate.
    • Prior experience in the motor industry or dealership environment.
