Key Responsibilities

As a Forklift Driver with Administration Skills, your daily tasks will include:

• Transfer of Packaging and Raw Materials: Safely moving stock between the warehouse, factory, and other designated locations.
• Pre-Trip Inspections: Conducting thorough inspections of the forklift before use and completing the required documentation to ensure compliance and safety.
• Loading and Unloading: Handling deliveries, stock movement, and truck loading/offloading while making sure that all relevant documents are accurately filled out.
• Stock Knowledge: Developing an excellent understanding of material codes, descriptions, and quantities to minimise errors.
• Receiving and Issuing Materials: Ensuring that the right materials are issued to the factory and received into the warehouse without discrepancies.
• Quality and Safety Compliance: Adhering to QMS standards and following all health and safety regulations within the workplace.
• Forklift Maintenance: Taking care of the forklift by conducting routine checks and reporting any mechanical issues to keep equipment in good working order.
• General Store Tasks: Assisting with housekeeping, including cleaning, sweeping, and ensuring that the warehouse remains organised and tidy.
• Coordination Between Stores and Factory: Supporting smooth transfers of materials between different factory departments.
• Truck Loading/Offloading: Safely and efficiently moving stock in and out of delivery trucks as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate: A completed school-leaving qualification is essential.
• Relevant Experience: At least 1–2 years of proven experience working in a warehouse, factory, or logistics environment.
• Forklift License: A valid forklift driver’s license is mandatory.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand and identify basic mechanical issues with equipment.
