Available Positions
1. Butchery Assistants
Location: Nationwide (all Eskort branches)
Employment Type: Permanent or contract (depending on branch requirements)
Job Overview:
Butchery Assistants will work alongside butchers and production teams to ensure that meat is processed, packed, and displayed according to company quality standards. This role requires attention to hygiene, efficiency, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with cutting, trimming, weighing, and packaging of meat products
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the work area and compliance with food safety regulations
- Helping to arrange and display meat products for retail sale
- Providing friendly customer service at the counter when required
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory control
- Supporting senior butchers and learning trade skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or higher qualification
- Previous experience in a butchery, retail, or food production environment will be an advantage
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong sense of cleanliness and food safety

Job Overview:
Eskort’s Truck Drivers play a critical role in transporting meat products safely and efficiently between production facilities, retail outlets, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting Eskort products to designated destinations in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring that vehicles are kept clean, serviced, and in roadworthy condition
- Loading and unloading stock safely
- Completing delivery documentation and logs accurately
- Complying with all road and traffic regulations
- Communicating effectively with logistics and warehouse staff
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or higher qualification
- Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license with a valid PrDP
- At least 2 years of relevant driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of South African roads and basic vehicle maintenance
Personal Attributes:

3. Forklift Drivers
Location: All major Eskort branches and warehouses
Employment Type: Permanent / Contract
Job Overview:
Forklift Drivers assist with moving and stacking goods safely within Eskort warehouses and cold storage facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts and other machinery to transport stock
- Loading and offloading trucks
- Maintaining safe storage and inventory management
- Ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene protocols
- Conducting daily equipment inspections
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
- Valid Forklift Operator Certificate (F1/F2/F3)
- At least 1 year of warehouse or logistics experience
- Ability to work shifts and weekends
