Available Positions

Civa Security Services is currently recruiting Security Guards (Grade C, D & E) across all nine provinces of South Africa.
Positions are available in both permanent and contract roles, including:

• Corporate Office Security
• Retail & Shopping Centre Guards
• Residential Estate Security
• Construction Site Guards
• Event & Access Control Officers
• Warehouse and Logistics Site Guards

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Guard at Civa Security Services, your main duties will include:

• Protecting clients’ property, assets, and personnel from theft, damage, and unauthorized access.
• Conducting regular patrols and perimeter checks to ensure all areas are safe and secure.
• Monitoring CCTV systems and access control points.
• Assisting visitors, contractors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Reporting suspicious activity, safety risks, or incidents immediately to supervisors.
• Completing incident and shift reports accurately and on time.
• Enforcing site rules, regulations, and company security policies.
• Responding promptly to alarms and emergencies when required.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the position of Security Guard, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:

• Grade 10 or higher (Grade 12/Matric will be an added advantage).
• PSIRA Registration (Grade C, D, or E).
• No criminal record.
• Must be physically fit and able to stand or patrol for long hours.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be willing to work day or night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to handle pressure and deal with the public in a polite, calm manner.

Additional advantages (though not mandatory):

• Previous security or guarding experience.
• Firearm competency (for armed positions).
• First aid or emergency response certification.
