Position: Griller (Full-Time)
Location: Lenasia, Gauteng
Department: Operations / Kitchen Team
Reports To: Store Manager or Kitchen Supervisor

Job Purpose
The Griller will be responsible for preparing and cooking chicken and other menu items to Pedros’ exact standards. This includes ensuring food safety, maintaining hygiene standards, managing the grill area efficiently, and delivering food that consistently delights customers. Grillers are the heart of Pedros — they turn our recipes into unforgettable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
As a Griller at Pedros Lenasia, your main responsibilities will include:
- Food Preparation and Cooking
- Grill and cook chicken and other menu items according to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
- Ensure all meals are cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and flame-grilled.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
- Hygiene and Safety
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations as per company and health department standards.
- Keep your work area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized at all times.
- Practice safe food handling and avoid cross-contamination.
- Teamwork and Coordination
- Work closely with fellow team members, including kitchen assistants, cashiers, and supervisors.
- Communicate clearly during busy shifts to ensure efficient service.
- Support other staff members when needed, fostering a positive work environment.
- Customer Satisfaction
- Take pride in every dish you serve.
- Ensure that every plate that leaves your station meets Pedros’ quality promise.
- Respond quickly to customer feedback relayed by front-of-house staff.
- Stock and Equipment Management

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Griller position, applicants should meet the following basic requirements:
- Education: Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Previous experience as a griller, cook, or kitchen assistant is an advantage, but not mandatory. Pedros provides full training to dedicated candidates.
