About the Role
FedEx South Africa is currently seeking dedicated, responsible, and motivated Code 10 Drivers to join our growing team in Johannesburg. As a Courier / Code 10 Driver at FedEx, you will play a key role in our daily operations — ensuring that parcels, documents, and goods are picked up and delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. You will represent the FedEx brand on the road and to our customers, providing excellent service at every point of contact.
This position involves on-road operations including domestic and international pick-ups and deliveries, sorting, dispatching, and customer interactions. Our couriers are at the heart of FedEx, ensuring that every delivery contributes to keeping our global network running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely and accurate pick-up and delivery of packages within assigned routes.
- Maintain professional communication and customer service, ensuring that all clients receive outstanding service.
- Handle dispatch, packaging, sorting, and documentation as required for both domestic and international deliveries.
- Adhere to company safety and operational standards, ensuring that all packages are handled with care and integrity.
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure compliance with FedEx safety policies.
- Maintain accurate records, manifests, and delivery logs to ensure accountability.
- Participate actively in ramp, sort, and courier operations at the station or hub.
- Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure timely completion of daily schedules.
- Promote and practice FedEx values in every task performed, upholding professionalism and reliability.
Skills and Competencies Required
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail – Ensuring all packages are correctly labeled, handled, and recorded.
- Planning and Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple deliveries, time schedules, and priorities.

- Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to make sound decisions when facing delivery challenges or route disruptions.

Qualifications and Requirements
- A valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1–2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a logistics or courier environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Johannesburg routes and traffic regulations.
- Ability to handle packages safely, including lifting and loading.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a professional attitude at all times.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays when required.
