Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that Services SETA offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are always clean, safe, and presentable. Cleaners are responsible for upholding hygiene standards, maintaining a neat environment, and supporting day-to-day operational needs. This role requires someone who is reliable, punctual, physically fit, and willing to maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout all allocated areas.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Cleaner at Services SETA, you will be expected to perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Daily Cleaning and Maintenance
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish all floors in offices and hallways.
- Dust desks, shelves, office equipment, and furniture regularly.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors as required.
- Empty dustbins, replace bin bags, and ensure waste is disposed of properly.
2. Hygiene and Sanitation
- Clean and disinfect toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, and washrooms.
- Refill consumables such as toilet paper, handwash, air freshener, and paper towels.
- Ensure that all areas meet acceptable health and hygiene standards.
- Report any potential hygiene or maintenance risks to the supervisor immediately.
3. Office Upkeep and Organisation
- Keep meeting rooms neat and prepared before and after use.
- Assist with setting up chairs, tables, or equipment for meetings when needed.
- Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and request stock replenishment when necessary.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safely stored.
4. Additional Cleaning Tasks
- Deep cleaning of carpets, upholstery, and office areas when scheduled.
- Cleaning of outdoor areas such as walkways and entrances.
- Support ad-hoc tasks as required by the Facilities or Operations Department.
Required Skills and Competencies
To succeed as a Cleaner at Services SETA, candidates should demonstrate:

- Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
