1. POSITION: BUS DRIVER
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Intercape coaches on local and long-distance routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Uphold Intercape’s service protocols, providing friendly, respectful, and professional assistance to passengers.
- Adhere to scheduled routes, departure times, speed regulations, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and fellow staff members regarding route updates, delays, or emergencies.
- Maintain cleanliness and order within the coach throughout the journey.
- Manage passenger boarding, luggage handling, and safety briefings.
- Complete logbooks, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid South African Code EC/EC1 or similar heavy-duty driver’s license with a valid PrDP (Passenger).
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience driving heavy vehicles or buses.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Strong understanding of road safety, defensive driving, and long-distance operations.
- Physically fit and able to handle long hours on the road.
- Previous experience in bus or coach driving is a strong advantage.

2. POSITION: BUS CLEANER
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise the interior and exterior of Intercape buses before and after each trip.
- Ensure seats, windows, restrooms, floors, and storage compartments are spotless and ready for passenger use.
- Replenish consumables such as tissues, sanitising supplies, and restroom materials.
- Report any damages, lost property, or maintenance issues to supervisors immediately.
- Assist in maintaining general depot hygiene and operational readiness.
- Follow proper waste-disposal procedures and uphold hygiene and safety regulations.
- Work closely with drivers and depot teams to ensure coaches are prepared for timely departures.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10/12 (advantage but not mandatory depending on position).
- Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physically fit and able to handle cleaning equipment and repetitive tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
