Branches: Boyne Garage (near Mankweng), Pretoria, and Polokwane

💼 Job Overview

As an Engen Petrol Attendant, you will be the face of the brand, ensuring every customer leaves the station satisfied and smiling. You will handle fueling services, offer friendly assistance, check oil and water levels, clean windscreens, and make sure each vehicle leaves in top condition. Petrol attendants play a crucial role in delivering Engen’s promise of service excellence, safety, and reliability.

🛠️ Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Welcoming customers warmly and providing top-quality service at the pump.
  • Filling up vehicles with petrol or diesel as per customer requests.
  • Checking oil levels, water levels, and tyre pressure when needed.
  • Cleaning windscreens and ensuring vehicles are ready to hit the road safely.
  • Handling cash and card payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order at the pump island and service area.
  • Reporting any equipment faults, safety hazards, or irregularities to management.
  • Assisting with stock control and monitoring fuel levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with Engen’s health, safety, and environmental policies.

🎓 Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following:

  • Minimum qualification: Grade 10 (Matric not required but advantageous).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication skills in English and at least one South African language.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly and respectful attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and honest.
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
  • Willing to learn and grow within the Engen service environment.

Previous experience as a petrol attendant will be an advantage, but training will be provided to successful candidates who show dedication and willingness to learn.

1. Boyne Garage (Limpopo Province)
Located near Mankweng, the Boyne branch serves hundreds of motorists daily. Applicants from nearby communities are encouraged to apply.

2. Pretoria Branch
This branch serves one of Gauteng’s busiest routes. The Pretoria team is seeking enthusiastic and reliable attendants who can handle high traffic volumes with professionalism.

3. Polokwane Branch
As one of Limpopo’s central Engen stations, the Polokwane branch is growing rapidly. Applicants from Seshego, Ivy Park, and surrounding areas are highly encouraged to apply.


Working Hours

Petrol attendants at Engen work on a shift system, which may include:
