Important Dates & Tips

  • Closing dates vary – keep an eye on the Mr Price Group careers page and trusted job-portals. Some December casual roles for 2024 closed mid-November.
  • For learnerships, apply as early as possible – places are limited and demand is high.
  • Ensure your CV is tidy, easy to read and tailored for the position (mention retail interest, customer service, teamwork).
  • Prepare for interview: present yourself professionally, bring originals of certificates/ID when requested.
  • For casual roles: emphasise your availability during December, willingness to work irregular hours, and your fit with a retail customer-facing role.
  • Beware of scams: no genuine recruitment process should ask you to pay a fee. The JumpStart programme specifically warns applicants against any payment.
